Dutch rental law

Rental law in the Netherlands is one of the most comprehensive tenant protection systems in Europe. The legislator protects tenants through mandatory legal provisions that may not be modified to the detriment of the tenant. The most important rules are found in Book 7 of the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek).

— Article 7:265 Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek)
